| ORION is many things, but to everyone
who’s heard them, it is most definitely a party band. Originally
formed in 2003, over the ensuing years their sound has grown and matured
as they have. The band has featured many great musicians who have
become friends on stage and off. Their love and appreciation for
the music, each other, their audience and many fans is wildly evident in
their energetic, enthusiastic performances.
The band is: Founder and drummer of ORION, Randy Lee brings a solid groove, driving beat, back up vocals and creative, original tunes that spice up the set list from time to time. Laying down the mellow, sometimes funky and always classy bass groove is George Carlson. George keeps the dancers gyrating with his sharp bass beats and delicious smoky tones that drive the crowd wild. Tasty lead guitar licks are courtesy of “Big John” Palmer who delivers a sizzling musical sensation that really lights up the bandstand. Party goers flock towards the stage whenever his solos soar and his guitars roar. Rounding out the “Dueling Guitar Johns” partnership is “Little John” Silverman whose sweet rhythm guitar makes the melodies sparkle, while his flaming leads rip the party into overdrive. Filling in our rock ensemble are the beautiful and stylish keyboard sounds of “John A” Aguero. Ranging from bluesy piano to pop and techno riffs this talented maestro brings an entire orchestra to the party. Center stage is commanded by the
deep and sultry tones of lead singer Russell “Hootie” Deutch.
Russell’s baritone vocals, acoustic guitar and dramatic stylings bring
any party to life. His melodious charm and charisma really get the
crowd pumped and ready to dance the night away.
